Guest Blog post - Leah Fanning Mebane at www.fanningart.com

I've been so busy working on Nostril Woman, I almost forgot: I would like to thank artist and blogger Leah Fanning Mebane for giving me my first opportunity to do some Guest Blogging on her wonderful blog, Natural Earth Paint.

When I first started my Rock Paint experiment back in 2000, I scoured the internet for anyone working in a similar medium, anyone who could guide me and maybe share a few pointers.

I soon found that my only "colleagues" at that time were the ORIGINAL cave painters of the paleolithic era. Sadly, they did NOT leave behind any instructional YouTube videos or Pinterest tutorials. I was on my own.

Imagine my delight when a recent search led me to discover the website and blog of sister EarthPainter, Leah Fanning Mebane! It was so exciting to discover another artist working in handmade mineral paint: you can see Leah's beautiful work in this and other mediums at Art From the Earth - www.fanningart.com.

I love how different Leah's work is from mine, despite the similarity of medium. I guess great minds think alike, differently.

The best part? Leah has a great line of natural mineral paints and eco friendly art supplies available for purchase: go check it out at http://www.naturalearthpaint.com/
